Commercial Holiday Bows: A Complete Guide

When it comes to adding a touch of class and sophistication to commercial spaces, bows have proven to be timeless adornments that capture attention and elevate aesthetics. Whether it’s for special events, storefronts, or interior décor, the choice of material for your bows can significantly impact their durability, appearance, and overall appeal. We’ll delve into the characteristics of three classic types of commercial bows: Vinyl Bows, Nylon Bows, and Acrylic Bows.

Vinyl Bows

Vinyl bows are synonymous with durability and versatility. The material is known for its resistance to the elements, making it an excellent choice for outdoor use. Vinyl bows are often chosen for their ability to withstand varying weather conditions, from rain to sunlight, without deteriorating. This quality makes them an ideal option for outdoor events, storefront displays, and long-term installations. Additionally, vinyl bows are relatively easy to clean, making maintenance a breeze.

Nylon Bows

Nylon bows offer a delicate and elegant aesthetic that appeals to every audience. Known for their soft and lightweight characteristics, nylon bows exude a sense of luxury but still economical. The material’s smooth texture gives these bows a refined touch, enhancing their visual appeal. One of the standout features of nylon bows is their wide array of color options and finishes, including red, pink, blue and with or without gold trim. This versatility allows businesses to choose the perfect color and trim to complement their desired ambiance.

Acrylic bows, also referred to as Outdura Bows, combine the best of both worlds—durability and elegance. Crafted from high-performance outdoor fabric, Acrylic bows are designed to withstand the elements while still maintaining a sophisticated look. These bows are engineered to resist fading, water, mildew, and stains, making them a top choice for long-lasting installations in outdoor spaces.

Acrylic bows often boast intricate detailing and impeccable craftsmanship, elevating their visual appeal to match their resilience. They are an excellent option for businesses that want to create a lasting impression while ensuring their bows remain vibrant and attractive for extended periods.

Mylar bows, often referred to as Metallic Bows, offer a futuristic and reflective aesthetic that sets them apart. Made from a metallic polyester film, Mylar bows create a stunning visual effect, catching and reflecting light in a unique way. Their sleek and modern appearance makes them suitable for adding a touch of pizazz to any decoration.

Velvet BowsVelvet Bows

Velvet bows, add a close-up luxury to any display. Their luxurious and soft texture lends an air of sophistication, instantly elevating the visual appeal of products, gifts, or decorations. The perfect bow for eye-level decorations and pole wraps. The durability of velvet bows ensures they maintain their plush appearance over time, contributing to the longevity of the items they adorn.

Installing and Take Down of your Bows

Fabric bows (Nylon, Acrylic, Glitter, Mylar and Velvet Bows) are manufactured with a steel frame that allows you to fluff the bow to your liking. Steel wire is hidden on the back of the bow allowing installing and tying off on any wreath, swag, pole mount, pole wrap or display.

After takedown of your decorations that are attached with bows, store your decoration in a temperature controlled location. Stuff your bow with either newspaper or construction paper to keep the shape of your bow until the next season. Do not place heavy objects on top of bows, this will ruin the integrity of your bows. For loose bows, store your bows in a sealed box or barrier and in a cool, temperature controlled location, stuff with newspaper or construction paper to keep integrity of shape.

Maintaining your Bows

After a year of being stored away, bows should be lightly fluffed or “touched up” to remove any dust or debris. Velvet bows will tend to catch the most dust whereas you take a light cloth and remove the debris. Vinyl is plastic, so a quick wipe should suffice.

To re-fluff, take the bow ribbons and position and tweak as necessary to desire shape.
