ArtsQuest Center Partners With Holiday Outdoor Decor
Holiday Outdoor Decor, the nation’s premier outdoor and holiday lighting specialist, is excited to partner with ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks to light up the nights of their summer concert series.
SteelStacks.org describes the location as a ten-acre campus committed to “the arts, culture, family events, celebrations, education, and fun” for the surrounding Lehigh County, PA area. The campus, once used as the home plant of Bethlehem Steel, was renovated beginning in 1999 through the collective efforts of the nonprofit ArtsQuest, the City of Bethlehem, and the Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority, among others. Thanks to the donations and efforts of many, the site transformed into an arts and entertainment district showcasing music, art, festivals, educational programming, and more throughout the year.
Now, Steelstacks is one of the prime destinations in the Northeast for music, art, and entertainment. Since its opening in spring 2011, more than one million people have visited to enjoy more than 1,750 musical performances, movies, community celebrations, and festivals, including Musikfest, the largest free music festival in the nation, and the Summer Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks.
Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks is a nonprofit community group that organizes and presents 50 free concerts each summer as part of the Levitt Summer Concert Series. The concerts are held at the Levitt Pavilion, which lies at the base of the historic Bethlehem blast furnaces on the SteelStacks arts and culture campus.
Levitt free programming is made possible by the generous support of Lehigh Valley community donors and sponsors. Nearly 80 percent of the annual operating budget is raised locally. To show appreciation to donors and sponsors, ArtsQuest upgraded their Levitt Pavilion backstage experience to facilitate meet and greets and other forms of artist interaction. This upgrade includes Holiday Outdoor Decor LED rope lighting to bring a glow to nighttime performances.
Holiday Outdoor Decor, with over a century’s experience in the commercial lighting industry, partners with businesses, facilities, and communities to design everything from traditional to modern displays. The company offers various displays, decorations, and lighting options for holidays throughout the year.
Throughout their time in business, Holiday Outdoor Decor experienced the excitement of featuring new technologies to delight audiences. One of the more recent technological advances involved the development of LED lighting. LED lighting is highly durable and energy-efficient, and LED products provide up to 90% greater efficiency than standard incandescent lights. In addition, quality LEDs may last for 50,000 hours or more.
Holiday Outdoor Decor CEO, Julien Godbarge, is thrilled to share equipment and lighting expertise with the folks at ArtQuest. “For anyone that has attended the summer series, I am certain you’ll agree that the music is incredible, the venue is gorgeous, and the price can’t be beat. We are thrilled to work with ArtQuest.“
The rope lights are sure to be put to good use. ArtsQuest offers more than 750 free performances for the community each year via Musikfest, Oktoberfest, and The Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series. Visitors enjoy all types of music, from rock to reggae and country to Celtic. After Labor Day, ArtsQuest plans to use its new rope lighting to enhance its 12th annual Oktoberfest, holiday ice rink, and popular New Year’s Bash.
ArtsQuest 2022 Summer Concert Series, running now through Labor Day, is free to attend. This summer features performances including Indie performers Andrew Bird and Iron& Wine, alternative country/southern rock group Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, country performer Brett Eldredge, and salsa/Latin pop performers Andy Montanez with special guest Edgar Joel.
ArtsQuest and Holiday Outdoor Decor are alike in their commitment to celebrating and building community. The pairing of both organizations is sure to bring enjoyment to many who attend future concerts, films, and holiday events.
