OUR LEGACY

Holiday Outdoor Decor brought together some of the most respected regional names in the industry, each with decades of service, loyal customers, and deep community roots. From the streets of Pennsylvania to the plains of Texas, from the suburbs of Illinois to the lakes of Minnesota, these companies had spent generations turning ordinary spaces into places of wonder. Today, Holiday Outdoor Decor stands as the largest manufacturer and distributor of commercial holiday decor in the USA, a living testament to what becomes possible when great companies, built on service and community, come together as one.

Rileighs Outdoor Decor

Rileighs Outdoor Decor was founded in 1921 by Sam Rileigh, originally located in Kingston, Pennsylvania, where it began as a window display company serving local drug stores throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. In the 1930s, Rileighs expanded into a display materials business, selling decorations and fixtures. That successful venture allowed Rileighs to open five additional stores throughout the state, including Allentown, Pennsylvania.

By the 1950s, Rileighs built its reputation by serving municipalities, downtown districts, and commercial spaces throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, with a focus on large-scale outdoor holiday décor, lighting, and program development. It wasn’t just selling decorations, it was helping communities create traditions. That legacy still matters, because it gave HOD its foundation: long-term customer relationships, operational know-how, and the credibility that comes from doing this for over a century, not just for a few trendy winters.

Clarks Sales Display

The Clark family launched their Florida-based business in 1983, after the founder relocated from Indiana where he had worked for a manufacturer that made decorations. Wanting to strike out on his own, he stuck to what he knew — and Clark Sales Display was born. Lee Clark and his wife purchased the business from his father in 2002. Operating out of Tavares, Florida, the company built a remarkable reputation over the decades.

With more than 30 years in the business, Clark Sales Display provided professional installation, convenient leasing programs, and exclusive purchase programs, maintaining around 40,000 square feet of storage, more than 8,000 pole units, thousands of silhouette ground units, dozens of trees, hundreds of wreaths, and miles of garland — all available for lease. The company held an iconic position in the Florida market, maintaining the largest rental inventory of holiday displays in the state.

If Rileighs gave HOD its roots, Clark’s Sales Display helped it stretch south and get serious about scale in Florida. Clark’s had been in business for more than 38 years when it was acquired in 2021, and it brought with it a strong reputation for service, customer satisfaction, and deep market presence across the state.

Temple Display

Temple Display was established in 1984 in Oswego, Illinois, built around a simple but powerful promise: commercial holiday decorations proudly made in the USA, with everything handled from creation to installation to storage. Located in Oswego, Illinois, Temple operates as a full-service display house with the capabilities to coordinate everything from initial designs and fabrication to complete installation, maintenance, and storage. For more than 30 years, Temple has been committed to providing customers with exciting decorations, outstanding service, and quality products, decorating cities, buildings, parks, and communities throughout the country at exceptional prices.

The company became one of the nation’s premier suppliers of seasonal decorations and lighted displays, serving municipalities, park districts, theme parks, shopping centers, gaming establishments, entertainment venues, and private corporations alike. Temple’s owner, Tyler Temple, built the business on the foundation of personalized service and comprehensive product warranties — qualities that made it a natural fit when Holiday Outdoor Decor brought it into the fold as one of the founding three companies of the HOD family in 2021.

Christmas Designers, Florida

CDI Enterprises — the business partnership behind Christmas Designers Florida — was born from the merger of two dedicated and experienced commercial holiday decorating companies: Christmas Designers, Inc. and Holiday Illuminations. That merger made it the largest holiday decorating company in Florida. For over 30 years, Christmas Designers, Inc. and Holiday Illuminations were dedicated to giving local clientele and others across the country the kind of holiday magic that carries on traditions and brings the season to life

Based in Pompano Beach, the company built a client list spanning municipalities, shopping centers, hotels, and commercial properties throughout the Sunshine State. Positioning itself as a master of commercial decorating, Christmas Designers Florida became known for turning locations into destinations, making businesses a must-visit during the holiday season for more than 40 years. Their product range runs the full gamut, from small Christmas trees and individual ornaments to full-scale custom commercial displays, spectacular outdoor lighting, and year-round banner programs — each one designed by an in-house team to make a client’s property stand apart from the rest. Their eventual integration into the HOD network expanded their reach while preserving the Florida-focused expertise that had defined them for decades.

Arnett Marketing

Arnett Marketing was founded in 1984 by Betty Arnett in San Antonio, Texas, and for over 38 years it stood as the leading full-service provider of commercial Christmas decorations in the state of Texas and surrounding areas. Arnett specialized in commercial Christmas decorations, seasonal displays, banners, and lighting needs, designing and decorating local main streets, cities, municipal buildings, chambers of commerce, parks, and shopping centers across Texas.

The company earned its sterling reputation partly through government accountability — Arnett became a BuyBoard Approved Vendor, providing the highest quality products at the best possible prices to public entities throughout the state. When Holiday Outdoor Decor acquired the business in 2022, it was described as a strategic coup. Betty Arnett herself expressed relief and pride at the handover, confident that HOD would care for her customers. The company now operates under Holiday Outdoor Decor, continuing its deep roots in Texas while benefiting from the resources and reach of the larger HOD family.

Vogel Display

Vogel Display was established in 1984, headquartered in Becker, Minnesota, where it grew into a respected manufacturer and distributor of indoor and outdoor lighted and unlit holiday decorations, displays, and seasonal banners. Michael Vogel, the company’s president and owner, built Vogel Display into a thriving enterprise known for high-quality products and exceptional customer service, taking pride in creating unique and innovative designs that help businesses and communities across the country celebrate the holiday season in style. Vogel Display expanded its product line by acquiring the Vaughn Displays product line in 1992, further cementing its manufacturing depth in the Midwest.

Operating out of its Industry Avenue facility in Becker, the company served a broad range of commercial clients, from municipalities to entertainment venues. When Vogel joined the Holiday Outdoor Decor family, it brought with it decades of Midwestern manufacturing know-how and a product portfolio that complemented and strengthened HOD’s national offerings.

Northern Lights Display

While Northern Lights Display is among the quieter members of the HOD family in terms of public-facing history, its inclusion reflects HOD’s deliberate strategy of assembling a nationwide network of regional experts — each with deep ties to their local markets and established customer relationships built over many years.

Northern Lights Display’s integration adds coverage and capacity across its region, ensuring that the HOD network can deliver the same high standard of commercial holiday decorating — from concept and design to installation, maintenance, and storage — that each member company has built its reputation upon. Together, they form what has become the largest manufacturer and distributor of commercial holiday decor in the USA, with over 100 years of creativity and American craftsmanship behind them.
